This category is suited to those people who are specifically looking for singles and matchmaking services in their local region only. Please note: The "local" section is composed of R E A L singles from ONLY your local area....not a bunch of rehashed mega-sites with a bunch of local graphics to make it look like a local singles site. I would be willing to bet that 90% of these owners of these websites have never even been to the states they are promoting as legitimate local sites. Go to another directory and look in their "local" section....you will see what I mean. Local singles sites are not exactly Internet related, but it helps to be able to find them on the Internet. Some locally based singles agencies have a website, but they typically do not have any exposure or are not listed in the search engines at all. Most of these services are membership-based, where you can either submit a video interview or you can call a date-line on the local telephone. For the standard fee you may respond to the ads. This is probably the best way to meet people locally, and it is good in that you at least have the opportunity to hear their voice. |
